Masterton

I got back on Thursday from 2 weeks in Masterton and despite some pretty cold and wet weather - although I give them credit there was also some great weather as you can see in the photos.

The week was pretty boring most of the time however I did get to have a go at flying a Sioux (the same type of helicopter as on MASH) and also an air trainer. It was great fun but the sioux is much harder to fly than the air trainer. I even did a couple of aerobatics and pulled a barrel roll!!

Anyway that was my boring week. One week at home again then I'm off to National hockey tournament where I'll get to see Jen and Jessica and hopefully we'll win a few games too!

I'll hopefully havemore photos to post then.

Away again

I got back from Auckland yesterday, was re-learning how to defend myself... so don't mess with me!!

We did a couple of minutes in the ring with an instructor that has done martial arts since he was about 5. Luckily for him he's wearing a big padded suit so we don't hurt him, unluckily for us we DON'T have a big padded suit. By the end of it I had a bleeding nose and a really sore jaw but I think I actually did quite well and kept going for the full 2 minutes.

Next week I'll be off to Masterton for two weeks with work which aslong as the weather stays good it shouldn't be too bad. I got some great news yesterday... I can go to the Nationals for hockey!! I thought I was going to miss out because of work but they managed to tweak a few things for me. I CAN'T WAIT.

I'll post again in a couple of weeks. bye.

Welcome Back

As most of you know I haven't posted in a long long long time and I've decided that it's about time I got back into my Blog.

Alot of things have changed since January which was my last post (whoops). The biggest being that Brett and I split up after 6 years together - but it was a very amicable split and he comes around to visit Brick usually once a week and last week he house and dog sat while I was up in Auckland.
My other big news is that I bought a house!! it's a wee three bedroom house in Feilding, and apart from having a problem with my hot water cylinder this week it is great.
The past 6 months I have been very busy with hockey, and I have been flat out with work aswell spent a couple of weeks in America - which is another whole story. I also had to go back to Dubai for work. I even spent a couple of weeks in Motueka which was great because Mum and Dad managed to come over for a visit with Jessica.

Because I have a couple of weeks leave I will look at posting about a few of those things that I've been up to.

The Geeks are Coming!!

Yes a new season of Beuty and the Geek is coming next Friday at 7.30 on 3. There has got to be some REAL geeks on that!! Even more Geekish than Brett (and yes Geekish is the correct term) Some of them may even make Geek of the week!

Well another Christmas and another New year has passed and before I know it I'll be hitting the big quarter of a century!! Last year was a big one for me I did a little bit of travelling got stuck in Darwin with a cyclone, went to Dubai stopping in Australia, Malaysia and Maldives along the way. I ventured down to Picton for Jessica's big 01. Got myself a puppy dog which is turning out to be more like a small horse. I got promoted... finally, and also travelled up to Auckland to see Wendy's graduation. I have also done a FULL year without McDonald's, KFC, and Burger King, however Brett cheated with a McChicken (he claimed he was starving) so he has to do another year!!! (by choice).

For Christmas I headed down to Picton, with the small horse in tow and despite his size he still gets beaten up by much smaller dogs including Cato the foxy who didn't even make it up to Bricks knees.
It was great spending time with Jessica and now I think she actually knows who Auntie Sandi is.

8. You've seen The Guyver.
9. You have the TIE Fighter ion cannon as your ringtone.

11. If you are able to give ten identifying signs of a geek.
