My Weekend

This weekend has gone so fast and it's very annoying that I have to go back to work tomorrow already.

I had hockey on Saturday in Wanganui against Ratana who are on the bottom of the table and we beat them 10-4. It was a little disappointing that we let four in and couldn't score any more goals. I scored about five our our ten but none of them were anything special.

I didn't get to the beach with Brick this weekend we just went down to the river both days he loves to frolics in the long grass and gets really hyper, it's hilarious. He leaps through the grass until he trips up then he lays on the ground like he meant to fall over while he catches his breath. He even does forward rolls when he trips up, he's so cool. I forgot the camera AGAIN!

But here's a picture of him playing with his new dog he got today. We had a smaller dog like this when we first got Brick but today when I went outside all that was left was the dogs nose. Brick and the neighbor's dog Amy had ripped it to shreds through the fence, so I went and bought him this bigger one. From now on it will be an inside toy.

Oh well best do my ironing for tomorrow. Toodles.

Congratulations Wendy!!

Wendy FINALLY got a job!! About time you unemployed bum.

Now back to the important things:
Brick and I went to the beach today ( I forgot to take the camera dammit maybe next time). It was really cute though I threw him the ball at the top of a sand dune and it started rolling down the hill and he chased it all the way to the bottom. Every time he got near the ball he'd kick it and it would take off down the dune again it was very funny.
We walked about 3 or 4kms and when we got home he was so exhausted he spent the rest of the day sleeping.

I'm going to make him an outdoor shelter because our house isn't set up very well, I've got a whole heap of wood from work and this massive wooden pellet which will make the floor, so the rest of my Sunday afternoon was spent getting that pallet from work to home. We had to cut it up and put it back together once we got home.

I've also started making him a cushion for his kennel but it might take awhile since I don't have a sewing machine and have to hand stitch it. It may be awhile. Anyway that's today in a nutshell (help I'm in a nutshell - Austin Powers he he )

Weekly Geekly

What's On

Well I figured it was about time I posted something new that wasn't just about Brick, but about the other things happening in my life no matter how random and boring they are.

Last weekend I bought myself a George Forman Steamer and it's the coolest thing ever, it's got 3 tiers so you can cook everything all at once and the veges taste soooo good (for vegetables). So Brett and I will be eating a lot of steamed chicken for dinner because it's so much easier.

It has been raining A LOT up here and my backyard has it's own pond and add Brick to the situation and it's turned into a sort of mud pit it doesn't look pretty. I went to hockey practice on Wednesday night and no one came to unlock the turf, our coaches replacement didn't turn up, it was cold and the rain was coming in sideways!! So it was cancelled the drive hoe was the most difficult ever I had to go 80Kph the whole way because my window wipers even on the fastest level wasn't fast enough and then just as I was getting used to it there would be a flash of lightning and I'd be blinded for a second.. It was crazy. So the rain has put a bit of a dampener on the last couple of weeks.

I had hockey today against Wanganui Collegians and we lost unfortunately, we were missing serveral key players which didn't help and then not having played for 2 weeks because of school holidays added up to a few key moments and mistakes which gave them a chance to score.

I think that's about it except that on ASB Business the other morning there was a guy that looked exactly like Brick Tamland off Anchorman (the guy our Brick was named after) it was kind of freaky, I even had to pull out the DVD cover to see how much alike the looked however dog Brick was totally unfazed by the whole situation.

Tomorrow Brick and I will go to the beach for a long walk like we did last weekend. This time I will try and remember to take my camera and get some photos to put up on the blog.

Stay cool
